The Three Little Pigs: An Architectural Tale

I have always enjoyed reading fractured fairy tales. In this particular version of the three little pigs by Steven Guarnaccia, the pigs design their homes based on the designs of three famous architects, Frank Gehry, Phillip Johnson, and Frank Lloyd Wright. Just as the traditional three pigs, wolf shows up, wolf huffs and puffs, and the houses fall down until the last one, the Wright house. Then the persistent wolf comes down the chimney, and to fire. I loved the Frank Lloyd Wright house illustration, having been to Falling Water as well as Taliesen West in Scottsdale. The endpages are covered with different items from various designers. Although most, if not all with the exception of those with parents that are designers or architects, children always seem to like other version of fairy tales and will enjoy this version as well.
