Little Mouse as a secret. He has found an apple and does not wish to share. So in order to avoid sharing, he buries the seeds. Each friend that comes by knows he is hiding something. As the book progresses, Little Mouse's secret "grows" behind him until there is a large apple tree. This is a very simple book, simple text and simple illustrations. In some ways it is a nice change from the ordinary. The book has a nice "simple" message about sharing.
