Suryia & Roscoe: The True Story of an Unlikely Friendship by Bhagavan "Doc" Antle and Thea Feldman

Isn't it amazing how animals seem to be able to put aside their differences and get along with other animals yet humans sometimes struggle in this?

Suryia and Bubbles are looking for a way too cool off on a hot day when they come upon Roscoe, thin and in need of a bath, and a beautiful friendship has begun. Probably should mention that Suryia is an orangutan, Bubbles is an elephant, and Roscoe is a dog! Soon Suryia and Roscoe are inseparable. Based on the true story about two unlikely friends living in The Institute of Greatly Endangered and Rare Species in South Carolina. Students love true stories, especially true stories about animals doing unusual and amazing things.
