A Storm Called Katrina by Myron Uhlerg
In August 2005 a hurricane named Katrina hit the Gulf Coast causing millions of dollars in damages and displacing millions of families. In this historically based work of fiction, Myron Uhlberg follows a 10 year old boy named Louis Daniel from the first drops of rain, to his family's desperate attempts to escape the rising waters to life in the Super Dome immediately following the storm. The books shares the powerful bond of this small but strong family, and their determination to stay to together.
