Old MacDonald Had a Woodshop by Lisa Shulman
"Old MacDonald had a SHOP, E-I-E-I-O! And in her shop she had a SAW, E-I-E-I-O!"
1. Old MacDonald is a HER! Woohoo!
2. She has a shop! I got corrected MANY MANY times by the 3 year old at our house because out of habit I kept saying FARM!! (Something about an old dog new tricks...)
3. Great example of onomatopoeia.
As I have mentioned before I really do enjoy "remakes"! I know some do not, and I also - of course - enjoy new creative books. That being said, I think it is great, for little ones especially, to have a familiar pattern that they hear new words to. Our 3 year old does enjoy his "tools" so this was a perfect choice for him.

I enjoy remakes too :) I think my boys would love this one. Another tool book they love is The Home Depot book of tools. It's a large children's book with tools clearly marked. This could make for a fun "theme" if I paired the too!
