The Beginner's Guide to Running Away from Home by Jennifer Larue Huget
Ever feel like running away from home? Here is the perfect guide to running away. Feeling underappreciated, the main character has decided it is time to hit the road...not that anyone will notice of course!! For starters, skip the bandana on a stick. If you want to successfully run away, get at least a backpack or better yet, a wagon. Don't forget the snacks. Leave a tear causing not someplace that won't be missed. And you are ready to storm out of the house.... A humorous look at what many kids (and maybe some adults) at one time or another, have considered doing. Older elementary kids especially will enjoy the wit and humor in this picture book.
