A Dazzling Display of Dogs
A Dazzling Display of Dogs, written by Betsy Franco and illustrated by Michael Wertz, is a follow up to A Curious Collection of Cats poetry books from the same team. This fascinating books is a collection of concrete poems about dogs. Kids will love this collection of inventive poems. My personal favorite was "Emmett's Ode to His Tennis Ball" which starts off "Slobbery, sloppy, slimy sphere..." Can't go wrong with that!! Great example of unconventional poetry. Yes, I will be ordering both books for both of my schools.
Story: 5 Buckeye leaves
Illustrations: 5 Buckeye leaves - the illustrations make the book
